19th Anniversary Civil War Days Reenactment (near Joliet, Il.) has grown to one of the best in the state. Over 500 re-enactors participate in this annual event. Relive History with President Lincoln, or General Thomas. There are live horses, booming cannons, and a spectacular battle scene. Battle times are 2 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Be sure to arrive at least ½ hour early to walk up the hill to the Battlefield. Tickets are required for the battle only. All other Civil War activities are free to the public. They encourage online purchases by offering a discount. The Day of the Battle Price: $6 for adult (age 12 & older); $4 for child (age 11 & below).
