Two full days of Civil War drama unfold in the largest Civil War re-enactment and encampment in Wisconsin. This year’s event will continue to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War. A full schedule of activities extends from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with two authentic battles re-enacted each day – a skirmish at 11 a.m. and a full-scale battle at 2 p.m. Watch the spectacle of hundreds of soldiers—cavalry, infantry, and artillery—as they struggle across the field of conflict. Experience the 1860’s clash of arms between North and South as Union and Confederate troops set up camp, conduct drills and offer a variety of demonstrations, Civilian and women’s issues, a medical field hospital and music of the Civil War era are presented interactively each day, and special hands-on experiences abound.
